1 - Cement drives head haves together and cement to driver on interior platt form. Cut a small hole in each hand of driver in plattaform to receive ends of steering wheel. Cement ends of steering wheel from the bottom of platform. Use only a tiny amount of cement as a larger quantity will dissolve this lighweight material. Perform this procedure for both interior of platform.
2- Cut out of cockpit area for Ferrari body. To do this, carefully scribe a line all around the edge of the area to be removed using a sharp po inted razor knife. Scribe line deep enough to create a well defined line. Then cut through the material across area in two direction as show in drawing. Bend sections downward until they break away along scribed line. Smooth up rough edges with sandpaper.
3 - If any detail painting is to be done on interior platform see "Painting Suggestions" now. Then tape interior platform into body as shown using cellulose or masking tape. Do not use cement, it willdamage the paint on the interior of the body. Repeat for Ford GT body.
4 - Any other detail painting shoud be done at this time to both bodies. See "Painting Suggestions" and "Applying Decals" in Curiosidades Page. Let bodies stand so that cement, paint and decals may dry thoroughly while you assemble chassis. All of the chassis components are show above. Begin assembly of the chassis in step 5. When chassis is assembled either body may be used or they may be switched for variety.
5 - Slip swing pickup spring onto ends of swing pickup arm as shown. Make sure spring is positioned on pickup arm exactly as shown. Now fit unit into holes in frame #32. Three small holes are punched in frame for regulating tension on pickup arm. If more tension is desired insert ends of spring into second or third hole. Ends of spring protruding through small holes may be bent over against frame with fingers to prevent them from coming out.
6 - Hold motor so that red wire lead is at top. Fit from bass bracket #33 onto end of motor.Fasten bracket with two self-tapping screws. Press in on screw while turning it with screwdriver end of wrench furnished in order to start the threads into the plastic.
